          ⏤ 100% organic and sustainable

          ⏤ Sourced from Uji, Japan

⏤ High in calming amino acids and detoxifying chlorophyll

⏤ Easy and quick to prepare anywhere

⏤ Equivalent to the caffeine content in a cup of coffee

⏤ Cultivated with traditional Japanese tea ceremony methods

What it includes ⏤ Ceremony Matcha (30g tin), Bamboo Whisk (‚chasen'), Whisk Holder (’naoshi’), Bamboo Spoon (‚chashaku'), Tea Bowl (‚chawan‘), Tea Towel

Ceremony Matcha (30g tin) ⏤ The signature 30g tin of Ceremony matcha powder to prepare your favourite matcha drink. Ceremony's matcha is 100% organic, ceremonial grade quality and sourced directly from a farm in Uji, Japan. It is perfect to prepare matcha latte, iced matcha or to drink it ceremonial style. Matcha is high in calming amino acids and provides jitter-free long lasting energy and focus.

Bamboo Whisk ‚Chasen' ⏤ The brand's very own Ceremony whisk. Designed specifically to prepare matcha, a whisk is called “chasen” in Japanese and is made of bamboo. It has been used for centuries in traditional tea ceremony. Their whisks are hand-crafted using a small knife to delicately cut the bamboo into 80 fine prongs. Using a whisk helps you get a perfectly creamy frothy matcha with a smooth consistency as it allows to mix the powder, water and air to release aromas and essences.

Whisk Holder ’Naoshi' ⏤ A whisk holder is called „naoshi" and is a practical and beautiful tool in a traditional matcha set. It is made out of ceramic and helps to prolong the life of your whisk. The bamboo prongs of the whisk are delicate and can begin to lose their shape over time. It is recommended to wash your whisk right after use and place it over the whisk holder to dry.

Bamboo Spoon ‚Chashaku' ⏤ The brand's chashaku is handmade out of 100% bamboo and is used in traditional Japanese tea ceremony to portion matcha. Unlike a metal spoon, a bamboo spoon does not charge itself statically, helping the matcha powder to slide off easily. Wipe it with a clean dry towel after each use.

One bamboo spoon is about 1/3-1/2 of a teaspoon - so a normal serving size would be 2-3 bamboo scoops.

Tea Bowl ‚Chawan' ⏤ A chawan is solely used to prepare and drink matcha tea. It is one of the most important utensils in the Japanese tea ceremony. It is poetically referred to as “hand-held universe”.

The cream-coloured chawan has been handmade in Toki-City in the prefecture Gifu, famous for „Minoyaki“ pottery. It is the oldest pottery found in Japan and has been made since the 7th century.

Tea Towel ⏤ A soft cotton and linen tea towel is ideal to wipe the tea bowl or spoon clean after preparing your matcha.

          Instructions (Matcha Latte)
          1. Add 1 Tsp of Matcha into a Bowl

          2. Add a bit of hot (80°C) water

          3. Whisk, shake or blend well until froth forms

          4. Add your favorite warm milk and fill up your glass

          5. Sip & Enjoy!

    • About the Brand
        • Ceremony is serving you matcha realness, with authentic, sustainably sourced matcha powder from Japan. We believe in making fair trade, high quality matcha accessible and easy to prepare, so you can reap all the health benefits of matcha while preserving an ancient (and very tasty) Japanese tradition. Sourced directly from Uji, our matcha is 100% organic and offers a calming and uplifting alternative to your daily caffeine fix.

When Ceremony founder Carolin realized coffee had been giving her nervous jitters, she was determined to find a satisfying alternative. After her first beautiful bright green matcha latte, she was hooked. Over time Carolin began to experience the incredible effects of the tea first hand; calmed nerves, fewer stomach problems, no afternoon crashes, and better focus. Since then, she’s been on a mission to make the health benefits of matcha more accessible, and highlight matcha as a great option for a delicious daily pick-me-up. By providing a sustainable top-grade matcha powder that is convenient to prepare anywhere, Ceremony is preserving old world traditions for the future of our new world.
